Green beauty has exploded in popularity over the last few years—sales of certified organic and natural beauty products hit £86.3 million in the UK alone last year—so it’s no surprise that Hong Kong’s eco-beauty scene has started to pick up the pace too. Whether you’re looking for organic, natural, vegan, eco-friendly or cruelty-free cosmetics, here are some of Hong Kong’s best green beauty boutiques and the signature brands they carry.

Live Zero Bulk Beauty

What’s there: Plastic-free handcrafted shampoo and soap bars by Ethique, cruelty-free make-up line Elate Cosmetics (whose products use refillable, sustainable bamboo packaging), certified organic and vegan nail polish from Habit Cosmetics, and refillable shampoo, conditioner, liquid soap and body balm from homegrown brand Bathe To Basics. They also stock just about everything you need to give your beauty routine an eco makeover, including bamboo toothbrushes, reusable face cloths and metal safety razors.

What else: Want to DIY your own lotions and potions? Live Zero has all the ingredients for your crafting needs, including Brazilian clay, shea and cocoa butter, dried flowers, essential oils, and even biodegradable plastic-free glitter—all available to buy in bulk.
