1. Como Shambhala Urban Escape

Wellness aficionados will be familiar with the Como Shambhala brand. If you can’t whisk yourself off to a week-long retreat in Como Shambhala Estate, Como Shambhala Urban Escape at Delfi Orchard offers an urban escapade. Housed in a minimalist boutique studio, expect the same meticulous service you’d find in Como’s hotels and resorts.

Offering an extensive selection of yoga styles—Hatha, restorative, Yin, pre-natal, post-natal, and more—classes are categorised by skill levels and conducted in small groups for personalised attention. We hear it is best known for Iyengar yoga, which focuses on the symmetry and alignment of the body. The best part? The iconic Como Shambhala massage is also offered here, so you can treat yourself to a therapeutic back rub after stretching.

2. The Yoga School

The Yoga School touts itself as a sanctuary in the sky, and we couldn’t agree more—located on the 39th floor of OCBC Centre, yogis are treated to breathtaking views of the city thanks to the floor-to-ceiling windows. A meditative space bathed in an abundance of natural light, the studio offers modern styles of yoga like Dharma, Kundalini, and Iyengar, as well as Universal Yoga, which weaves modern Western science with ancient Eastern wisdom.

The school also hosts wellness workshops conducted by visiting professionals in meditation, sound healing, traditional Chinese medicine and more.

3. Pure Yoga

Originating from Hong Kong, Pure Yoga now has four spacious studios in central Singapore at Ngee Ann City, Asia Square Tower 2, Suntec City, and Republic Plaza. Classes are conducted by experienced instructors from around the world, and range from meditative classes like Pranayama to more dynamic practices like Vinyasa yoga. Wall rope yoga is also offered here, using ropes, pelvic swings and bars to enhance the traction and extension of your body.

For International Yoga Day, the yoga studio is also hosting a #YogaForAll event on June 22 (Saturday) at Hort Park, featuring three unique classes—108 Sun Salutations, Meditation and Mindfulness, and Partner Yoga—to help participants reconnect with nature.

4. Trium Fitness

If you’d like to take your practice off the ground, Trium Fitness—one of Singapore’s largest aerial yoga studios—is the place to be. Located at Aperia Mall in Lavender, Trium Fitness fits up to 20 silk hammocks in its airy Urban studio, offering panoramic views of the city from its sloping floor-to-ceiling windows. The gravity-defying yoga method allows yogis to attempt more varieties of poses Cirque Du Soleil-style, and helps to ease tension on the spinal cord and hip joint.

If you prefer more grounded practices, however, the studio also offers yoga basics, Yin yoga, Vinyasa yoga, and restorative yoga.
