Accreditations and awards: Garden International School (GIS) is accredited by the Council of International Schools and the Western Association of Schools and Colleges and is a member of the Federation of British International Schools in Asia, Association of International Malaysian Schools, East Asia Regional Council of Schools, South East Asian Student Activities Conference and Taylor’s Education Group. GIS is accredited by the Assessment and Qualifications Alliance (AQA) which is England’s largest exam board. Additionally, the school is a centre for both Cambridge International Exams (CIE) and Pearson Edexcel qualifications, offering IGCSE and A-Level programmes. GIS has also received recognition as a GL Centre of Excellence, the first in Asia and one of only five in the world.
Campus and facilities: Early Years Centre: GIS’ purpose-built centre for children aged 3–5 features flexible, free-flow classrooms that support child-led, play-based learning. A newly renovated outdoor learning classroom complements the Jungle School programme, encouraging hands-on exploration and connection with nature.
Main Campus: GIS’ main campus in Mont Kiara serves students aged 5–18 and includes modern classrooms, science laboratories, creative arts spaces, and extensive outdoor areas. The campus houses a RM95 million sports complex with an Olympic-sized swimming pool, indoor basketball courts, tennis courts, and a full-sized football field. Plans are underway for a state-of-the-art Performing Arts Centre, additional alfresco dining for parents, and enhanced play areas.
