If you've been wondering what the dome-like structure located on the water by Marina Bay Sands is supposed to be—you're not alone. But fret not as the answer’s finally here: Apple is opening its third outlet in Singapore. It takes over the space that was previously occupied by Avalon nightclub, making it the world’s first floating Apple store.
In an announcement on its website, Apple said: “We will soon open the doors to our new store by the Bay. It will be a space for you to explore, connect and create something new.”
The statement was accompanied by a moving image of an Apple logo that looks like it is half-submerged in water.
This was later updated to announce that Apple Marina Bay Sands will officially open on September 10. However, visits will be by reservation only as the store will be limiting the number of people inside.
