Together with Singapore billionaires and Arc founders Kiat Lim and Elroy Cheo, Lin will help develop a network of creative talents in Asia

After teasing the news on Instagram, Mandopop singer and entrepreneur JJ Lin has announced that he will be joining Arc as a co-founder. The platform, founded by Singapore billionaires Kiat Lim and Elroy Cheo, launched earlier this year as Asia’s first app-based community with an NFT membership.

Arc connects Web2 leaders, influencers and creatives with Web3 builders and thought leaders in a community that plays, grows and collaborates together. It provides members with the opportunity to network across their social and professional communities, co-create their membership utility with Arc’s global partners, and collaborate with members to launch new ventures.

Lin is the perfect addition to the Arc team, especially as he continues to expand his repertoire with multiple business ventures in different fields, including fashion, art, coffee and esports.

“I’m excited to be a part of the Arc movement. It is the only community today that brings hugely diverse groups together with a very strong purpose of growing and co-creating. That’s what really inspired me to take a very active role in this project as co-founder,” said Lin.

He is now one of the first Asian celebrities to be involved in a Web3 project like Arc on a personal level and aim to nurture and develop the next generation of talents in the community.

“The music industry and business world have taught me a lot about creating new ventures but also given me tremendous opportunity for personal growth. I hope to bring those elements to help nurture budding talents, fuel new ideas and put Asian ventures in different fields on the global map,” Lin added.

In his new role, Lin will work with Lim and Cheo to shape the community experience for Arc members. He will also be actively working with members to learn with them and exchange ideas.

Arc is currently working towards co-creating Asia’s dominant NFT brand. While cryptocurrency and NFTs have been widely adopted in Asia with Asians coming out as the top owners in the world, the region has yet to launch its own prominent NFT project.

“We know that it is a tall order but as Arc, a collective, we feel that we have a good chance of achieving this goal together,” said Kiat.

The news of Lin’s involvement with the brand comes just as Arc announces strategic partnerships with global hospitality giant Millennium Hotels and Resorts, and lifestyle destination group, Zouk Group. These connections form a powerhouse of connections that will support Arc’s co-creation ambitions.

“Arc is bringing the best of Web2 and Web3 worlds together. We want all of the great things that work in the Web2 world–the real-world connections, networking and events–but powered by the Web3 way of collaborating that breaks down traditional barriers and creates more inclusivity,” concluded Cheo.
