The founder of Fugee School talks about why she loves working with refugee students and the overwhelming support for the community during this pandemic

Although she has found her calling providing access to education for refugee students via Fugee School, Deborah Henry shares that she has also learnt a lot from these kids.

"They taught me about resilience, how strong they can be despite all the stuff that's going on all around them," says Henry during our Tatler Talks session. "They also taught me to be more positive in my personal life. They always have hope, there's always laughter and they enjoy being in the now."

Henry also reveals that since the Covid lockdown, she has also been focused on providing much-needed aid, besides ensuring that the school remains open for the students.

On a more personal note, Henry tells us why she prefers the pause button from the rewind button, her idea of a perfect day, and her wishes for Malaysia as it celebrates its 64th Merdeka.
