The charity gala dinner made a return after five years and saw over 500 guests in attendance, including guest-of-honour Minister for Health Mr Ong Ye Kung

After a five-year hiatus, Stroke Support Station’s (S3) Charity Gala Dinner has returned. Founded in 2015, S3 is Singapore’s first and only stroke-focused community and wellness agency dedicated to helping meet the needs of post-stroke survivors. Here, survivors are able to receive care through rehabilitation programs that help support cognitive and psychosocial development.

Over 500 guests, including guest-of-honour Minister for Health Mr Ong Ye Kung, filled the Grand Ballroom at The Ritz Carlton for the dinner. The evening celebrated stroke survivors and their caregivers while raising funds to help these stroke survivors recover physically, mentally and emotionally.

Chairman of S3 Ms Chang Hwee Nee addressed guests on the future of S3 with a heartwarming speech. “Moving forward, S3 is gearing up to prepare itself as a centre of excellence and leading community partner for stroke recovery support and stroke prevention,” shares Chang.

On top of dinner, the evening also featured a special performance by S3’s stroke survivors as well as an inclusivity fashion runway by Werable featuring stroke survivors.

The fundraising dinner aimed to raise more than SGD$2 million through donations and dinner table sales.
