The world's most awarded luxury cruise line owned by Genting Group takes a step forward for sustainability
In honour of World Oceans Day on June 8, 2019, Genting Group's ultra-luxury Crystal Cruises has announced a ban on plastic straws across its entire fleet in a big move for sustainability.
Plastic straws will be replaced with paper straws throughout the dining venues aboard the Crystal Symphony—where our exclusive Hong Kong Tatler Scions Party took place with our May cover star, Loui Lim—Crystal Serenity, the company’s yacht, Crystal Esprit, and the Crystal River Cruises fleet.

The latest addition to the company's Crystal Cares programme, the elimination of plastic straw shows Crystal Cruises' dedication to environmental efforts and sustainable practices, which already include energy efficiency, water conservation protocols and a dedicated recycling programme.
