The heads of the PGH were at the Tatler office today to sign the MOA (Memorandum of Agreement) with regards to the use of the collected funds, which is aimed to help patients with advanced or late stage cancer. A total of 11,659,000 pesos has been collected as of writing.

The MOA was duly signed by Irene Martel Francisco, Managing Director of Philippine Tatler, and Dr. Gregorio T. Avior, Chairman of the PGH Medical Foundation. Thereby witnessed by Dr. Gap Legaspi – Medical Director of the PGH, Dr. Jorge Ignacio – Chairman of the PGH Cancer Institute, Dr. Dione Suter – ExecComm of the PGH Medical Foundation, Erlinda Cambia – Executive Director of the PGH Medical Foundation, and Chit Lijauco, Associate Editor of Philippine Tatler.

All these could not have been possible without the generosity of the lead partners of Philippine Tatler Ball 2016, Mercedes Benz and Globe Platinum. Supporting partners were HSBC Premier, Jo Malone, and Lucerne. A significant portion of these donations was gathered from the night’s auction lots, namely, a Betsy Westendorp painting, titled “At Peace”, a four nights stay at a private villa in Amanpulo, a Jaeger LeCoultre Reverso classic watch, and a two-night stay in the Shangri-La Hotel Paris. Without the generosity of this year’s sponsors and subsequent bidders, as well as our supportive guests, we could not have surpassed our initial goal of 7.5 million pesos.
