Just when you thought you knew it all.
Having recently announced his relationship public with actress Meghan Markle it seems that not much is unknown about Prince Harry. However, we have compiled five things that you may have missed while reading about the ‘funcle’ of the royal family.
1. While the most recent royal wedding of Prince William and Kate Middleton is still fresh in people minds. The event itself was organised by no other than Prince Harry, who as well as organising the festivities also made a playlist featuring the groom’s favourite tracks. He also outdid himself when he asked the caterers to provide a “survivor’s breakfast” consisting of bacon sandwiches for those guests who survived until the early hours of the next day. Neat, isn’t it?
2. Apparently the young royal was known as “My little Spencer” by his mother the late Princess Diana while growing up. This was due to his red hair being inherited from his mother’s family, the Spencers. However, nicknames are not too much of a surprise given that his older brother, Prince William, was nicknamed “Billy the Basher” due to him “bossing around” his younger brother. These days the brothers are said to be very close which is proven from their occasional brotherly hug.
3. A fan of Twitter? Not this Prince. He even goes as far as to say that he hates the social media platform. This is no surprise as has gone on to point out his disdain due to the way in which the platform is used to give away private details of his whereabouts when such details should not be made public.
4. However, he was on Facebook for a short-time having used a pseudonym ‘Spike Wells’, nonetheless. This ended shortly after 2014, but not before the account was deleted by Facebook since he posted a number of ‘ginger’ related images including an image of a redheaded child with his head in his hands with a comment: “Oh my God, I’m ginger” If anything it shows that the young Prince has a great sense of humour we must say.
5. Prince Harry is no stranger to physical games and after being inspired by the Warrior Games in Colorado Springs he was ‘happy to steal’ an idea or two from the Americans. The result was the Invictus Games, a Paralympic-Styled multi-sport event for wounded, sick or injured servicemen and women. As of 2014, the games, formed and pushed ahead by the prince since the beginning, consist of over 400 competitors from 13 different countries in many different athletic events.
