Best early action: TAIWAN
The world has become aware of contagious COVID-19 when infected travellers from Wuhan, China arrived at a Taiwan airport. Without going for another blink, the country quickly haltered flights coming from different parts of China. The place has also stopped foreign cruise ships from docking, implemented widespread testing, and quadrupled production of face masks all in a span of a month.
In Taiwan, people who contracted the virus have also been given intensive support including stipends. These early actions were essential in keeping the country's COVID-19 toll under 800 cases all year.
