強尼戴普和律師律師卡蜜兒瓦斯奎（Camille Vasquez）相視而笑的照片於網路上流傳，也因為兩人外表都極為出眾，甚至兩人在法庭上經常咬耳朵、講悄悄話的畫面公開後，有國外網友指稱，「他們兩位正在熱戀中」。

不過日前卡蜜兒已經透過公司回應此烏龍戀情，她表示：「我自己將這次官司當作『人生代表作』，不可能會讓私情影響公事。」並指出自己早有交往多年的英國男友，是一名房地產經紀人。

當然除了出眾的外表外，卡蜜兒瓦斯奎能成為強尼戴普的律師，背景資歷也相當豐富。卡蜜兒來自大型國際律師事務所Brown Rudnick，也是此次負責強尼戴普毀謗官司的律師公司。

卡蜜兒瓦斯奎於2010年獲得南加州大學的本科學位和西南法學院的法學博士學位，根據公司公開的簡歷中可看到，她擅長「為私人客戶制定進攻性和防禦性訴訟策略，她還擁有豐富的經驗，可以處理因這些業務而產生的並行聲譽管理和危機溝通問題。」此外，在處理合同糾紛、與商業相關的侵權和與僱傭相關的索賠方面擁有額外的經驗。

於5月16日開庭時，強尼戴普的律師卡蜜兒主要是針對安柏赫德進行盤問的律師，她向安珀詢問了強尼戴普打她的各種情況，包括據稱他打斷了她的鼻子、裂開她的嘴唇並反覆打她的頭部的情況，接著展示出許多照片，並指出這些都與安柏所說的日期不符，因為照片都是在所謂的事件發生後才拍攝的，並且還說明安柏都沒有任何相關的受傷醫療紀錄。
