Chung Thuy Linh and the Blue Ribbon mission – accompanying Vietnamese women on their uterine health journey
In Vietnam, gynaecological cancers remain a significant public health challenge, with diseases such as cervical, ovarian and endometrial cancers quietly affecting thousands of women every year. According to Globocan statistics, cervical cancer is the second most common gynaecological disease in Vietnam, with around 5,000 new cases and 2,400 deaths annually. Early detection, however, can boost the cure rate to 90 per cent.
Understanding this deeply and determined to transform public health, Chung Thuy Linh took the lead. In 2021, she founded the No Xanh Organisation, a non-profit social initiative with a clear mission: to improve women’s health and protect lives by spreading knowledge and supporting free early screening and examination programmes for gynaecological diseases.

No Xanh is more than an organisation; it is a strategic solution to break down information and psychological barriers, empowering women to take charge of their health. By focusing on comprehensive gynaecological care, Chung Thuy Linh and No Xanh contribute directly to easing the disease burden, joining efforts to push back cervical cancer nationwide by 2030 and build a healthier future for Vietnamese women.
From the outset, No Xanh Vietnam has launched numerous initiatives centred on community health education regarding uterine health. Many combine medical expertise with art and creative communication. With a practical and sustainable mindset, Chung Thuy Linh developed No Xanh as a social enterprise, ensuring financial efficiency while pledging to reinvest all profits into community activities. Above all, she sees communication, creativity and art as vital tools to transform silent issues like gynaecological diseases, cervical cancer and post-surgery mental health into subjects that can be openly discussed, empathised with and acted upon.
Under her leadership, No Xanh Vietnam has delivered many notable projects such as Secret of the Neck, combining art and medical knowledge to raise awareness about the female uterus, alongside activities providing mental care for women with gynaecological cancer at Tu Du Hospital. Simultaneously, No Xanh organises programmes to improve gynaecological health knowledge among university students. They arrange gynaecological examinations and HPV screening for ethnic women, supply medicine cabinets for treating gynaecological infections to health stations in mountainous areas, and collaborate with numerous partners to broaden their impact. What was once an overlooked issue has become, under Chung Thuy Linh’s leadership, an urgent and humane topic in community life.
