We asked today’s women what success really means in 2026—and here’s what they said

For 2026, success, to me, is more meaningful when we lift each other up, when we look out for one another collectively and make sure no one is left behind. Success is sweeter in good company.

2026 is a precarious year, given current and running events locally and worldwide. As a Filipino, success for a woman isn’t so different from the success any Pinoy would want to achieve for himself. For success amidst uncertainties, we still make certain what is within our control: honouring pamilya, tenacity and bayanihan while breaking barriers that once limited women’s voices and choices. It is having the freedom to choose education, meaningful work and leadership, while staying rooted in culture and compassion, and making a difference—despite the noise. And there is a lot of noise.

As a citizen of the world, success is living with purpose beyond borders: advocating somehow for equality, sustainability, human dignity. I must make my contribution for the end of dictatorship, abuse of power and the end of war and violence. It is balancing ambition with well-being, progress with empathy and personal dreams with connective and collective responsibility.

A successful woman uplifts herself, her community and the future despite negativity, contradiction and government. Success isn’t necessarily achieving such great heights. Success is claiming the freedom to try your darnedest.

Here’s how I, as a woman, define success in 2026: being surrounded by joy in all aspects of life. That’s it!

In a time marked by global economic and political uncertainty, success can no longer be rigid or traditional.

For me, success in 2026 means having clarity of mind and the courage to pursue what feels instinctively true. It is the endurance to follow a passion long set aside, and the grace to trust an innate gift.

This year, my measure of success is to give form and value to that gift—to monetise a passion that brings me quiet joy. Styling homes does not feel like work. Rearranging a space using what already exists comes naturally, almost effortlessly. At the moment, I know how to breathe new life into a room and make it feel renewed without excess.

Success, to me, is creating beauty through intuition—and allowing that intuition to finally lead the way.

In 2026, success for me means truly balancing and adjusting how I spend my days in this new year and life stage. Success means allowing more time for myself to explore hobbies and physical activities, and to nurture meaningful connections with loved ones, while continuing to manage and grow my companies and new endeavours. Success also means watching, relishing and celebrating the individual wins of family, friends and colleagues.

A woman in 2026 is someone who knows who she is, chooses her life with intention and has the freedom to define herself.

To consider myself successful this new year is to be able to sleep each night soundly, to continuously fill my time with meaningful moments with family, to witness my children work towards their goals, to remain strong in my faith and well-being and to stay committed to values-aligned growth.

This year I turn 59—on the cusp of my golden 60—and I’m introspective, knowing that a milestone is just around the corner. Success in 2026 means crossing things off my bucket list, saying yes to new experiences and doing things that make me feel strong, curious and alive—skiing, hiking, racket sports, and travel. Success for me is becoming stronger—emotionally, physically, spiritually—and focusing on improving from within, wanting what I have and making memories with the people I love.
