Vietcombank has become the first Vietnamese brand to be included in the Top 30 most valuable brands in Southeast Asia 2024, as announced by Kantar BrandZ. This marks a significant milestone for Vietnamese brands striving for greater regional recognition.

As competition intensifies across Southeast Asia, one Vietnamese name has reached a new height. Vietcombank has officially made its way into the 2024 ranking of the region’s most valuable brands, released by global market research firm Kantar BrandZ. It stands as the sole Vietnamese representative on the list. With a brand valuation of US$2.105 billion—an 18 per cent increase from 2023—the bank ranks 20th, alongside powerhouses such as Grab, Shopee and Lazada. At the 2025 JCB Vietnam Annual Conference, Vietcombank once again reaffirmed its leading position in the finance and banking sector, taking home three prestigious awards: Leading Bank in Card Payment Volume 2024, Leading Bank in New Card Issuance 2024, and Leading Bank in Card Transaction Volume Abroad 2024. This accomplishment not only reflects the bank’s effective operations, but also signals the deep trust placed in its card services by both domestic and international users.

Vietcombank’s momentum did not stop there. It continued to garner accolades with a string of major awards from Visa, including Leading Bank in Payment Volume at Card Accepting Units 2024, Leading Bank in Total Card Transaction Volume 2024, and Leading Bank in Online Transaction Volume 2024.

Alongside honours from Visa and JCB, Vietcombank has consistently been recognised by MasterCard over the years. This continued recognition underlines a development strategy for international card services that is not only steady but also sustainable. Meanwhile, accolades from Vietnam’s own card network, Napas—such as Excellent Bank 2024, Leading Bank in VietQR Service Coverage Efficiency, and Leading Bank in Implementing Innovative Projects—underscore Vietcombank’s responsiveness to market shifts and its capability in deploying advanced financial technologies.

The impressive sweep of awards from JCB, Visa, MasterCard and Napas is a well-earned endorsement of Vietcombank’s relentless pursuit of offering diverse, seamless and secure payment experiences. In the fast-evolving digital economy, these honours not only bolster its standing in the Vietnamese market, but also encourage the bank to keep pushing boundaries—innovating and delivering meaningful value to both customers and the broader community.

Journey to valuable achievements

On its path towards sustainable development and national economic partnership, Vietcombank has continued to demonstrate leadership through decisive and responsible action. The bank has played a vital role in financing national infrastructure, from the Block B gas project chain to the Long Thanh International Airport component project valued at USD 1.8 billion, and the expansion of the Ho Chi Minh City–Long Thanh expressway.

Vietcombank’s strategic foresight has also shaped the green finance landscape in Vietnam. It was the first bank to issue a green bond valued at VND 2,000 billion, aligning with both international benchmarks and domestic policies. This milestone signals a firm commitment to sustainable development and contributes to Vietnam’s net-zero emissions goal by 2050.

At the same time, Vietcombank is actively reshaping the digital banking experience. With the comprehensive upgrade of its VCB Digibank platform, the bank introduced a personalised interface tailored to different customer segments. The new version has already drawn 11 million users, making up 72 per cent of its digital banking clientele. This impressive uptake affirms the strength of its guiding principle: Customer-centricity, with digital transformation at the core.

Each of Vietcombank’s milestones tells a larger story of progress not merely measured in statistics and awards, but in the spirit of innovation and leadership. As the economy moves decisively towards green and digital paradigms, Vietcombank is emerging as a Vietnamese trailblazer ready to create lasting value and elevate the country’s global standing.
