At Sentosa Golf Club, Halogen Singapore and presenting sponsor CIMB Singapore rallied corporate leaders to support youth development at a milestone edition of Charity Golf 2025
The first flights had barely assembled at Sentosa Golf Club’s Serapong Course when the day’s purpose became unmistakable. As guests checked in, greeted familiar faces, and moved across the practice green, the atmosphere felt warm, focused and distinctly community-minded. After a hearty lunch, the participating golfers gathered at the starting point, before being flagged off by Halogen Singapore board members Jessie Ho-Thong and Cherie Tseng, together with CEO Ivy Tse—a moment that signalled the beginning of Halogen Charity Golf 2025, where sport, philanthropy and intergenerational leadership converged.
A meaningful encounter took place even before the tournament began. Guest of honour and Singapore’s speaker of parliament Seah Kian Peng met with participants of Halogen’s National Young Leaders Fellowship, who shared the work they are leading in their communities. Their clarity and confidence created a quiet but powerful contrast to the bustle of the fairway. It grounded the day in what Halogen has championed for years: ensuring young people have pathways to lead themselves, lead others and lead change.

As flights set off across Serapong’s challenging contours, friendly competition unfolded among corporate leaders, long-time supporters and new partners drawn to Halogen’s mission. This year’s event marked a notable milestone—ten years of Halogen’s Network for Teaching Entrepreneurship (NFTE) programme in Singapore. The anniversary added thoughtful resonance to conversations across the course, especially for those who have watched the programme empower youth from underserved communities with resilience, entrepreneurial thinking and practical exposure to the working world.
By evening, guests reconvened for dinner, where the day’s energy shifted from the greens to shared purpose. Seah addressed attendees, reiterating the importance of helping young Singaporeans realise their fullest potential. His presence underscored the collective trust Halogen has built across public, private and philanthropic sectors.

A moment of recognition followed as Seah presented a token of appreciation to presenting sponsor CIMB Singapore, whose steadfast partnership has enabled Halogen to deepen its impact year after year. Its support was joined by that of numerous flight sponsors, donors, volunteers and programme partners acknowledged throughout the evening.
Applause continued as the Overall Tournament Champion was announced, a celebratory note that matched the camaraderie fostered throughout the day.
The room’s momentum reached its peak when Tse revealed the total funds raised: S$488,716. The announcement drew resounding appreciation—a testament to the generosity of the community and to Halogen’s careful stewardship of its mission.

The evening closed with the exuberant Halogen team onstage—a reminder that impactful youth development rests on people who commit daily to meeting young Singaporeans with guidance, structure and belief. The success of Halogen Charity Golf 2025 ensures more youths will gain access to NFTE, in-school leadership initiatives, and mentorship networks that open doors to broader futures.
As Tse later said: “At Halogen, we believe every young person deserves the opportunity to build a future they are proud of—regardless of background.”
When guests finally departed, the sense of shared accomplishment lingered. The swings may have ended at sunset, but the day’s purpose continues—carrying forward the collective commitment to equip Singapore’s next generation to thrive.
