‘Generous Gourmets’ united 150 guests at Shangri-La The Fort, raising over PHP10 million to support the CPN’s mission to protect abused children in the Philippines
One hundred fifty civic-minded guests came together for one remarkable evening at the elegant ballroom of the Shangri-La The Fort for Generous Gourmets, the Child Protection Dinner 2025.
It was a gathering of kindred souls, headed by the Child Protection Network Foundation founder, the esteemed David Bradley and his wife Katherine, along with local philanthropists, donors and personalities from business, society and academe, who all contributed generously to support CPN’s invaluable fight against child abuse.
In support of this pressing and most worthy cause, star chefs Josh Boutwood, Miko Calo and Joris Rycken each donated their talents to cook a multi-course feast that took guests on an outstanding culinary journey.
Before dinner was served, CPN President Irene Martel-Francisco thanked all those attending the sold-out charity event. Bradley, who flew in from Washington, DC, also took to the stage to personally thank everyone who made the meaningful evening possible.

Founded 20 years ago, CPN continues its mission to provide compassionate and competent services to abused children in the Philippines.
Under the capable leadership of Executive Director Dr Bernie Madrid, CPN currently operates 149 Women and Children Protection Units (WCPUs) across the country. These WCPUs provide crucial access to medical, psychological and legal services for victims of violence against women and children. Last year alone, over 14,000 children and women were served by WCPUs across 68 provinces and 10 cities in the Philippines. Today, CPN continues to expand its work to include the prevention of online child sexual abuse and exploitation.

Apart from tickets to the plated dinner-for-a-cause, the evening raised much-needed funds through a spirited auction. Event host Issa Litton and auctioneer Tonico Manahan successfully bidded out exciting donated lots that included four artworks from León Gallery, Monica Zobel de Ayala and Tarzeer Pictures; a watch from Vintage Grail; and unique travel experiences. The attractive lots brought in a combined total of PhP 10,100,000, with 100 per cent of the proceeds going to CPN’s mission to keep children around the country safe, healthy and protected from violence and abuse.
