When Tatler throws a party, you can count on us to go all out (case in point: our annual Tatler Ball).
Add some of society’s hottest upcoming names into the mix and you’ve got yourself a night of fervour, fun and, thanks to two walkabout magicians, fire.
The St Regis rooftop pool couldn’t have presented a better setting for our inaugural Generation T party. It came, quite literally, fresh off a new coat of everything and its two stunning pools backdropped against a magnificent view of our city made the perfect reflection of the urban, fresh and trendy crowd we were celebrating that night.
Together with our sponsors Moet Henessy Diageo, Shiseido Professional, Clé de Peau Beauté, Corum, Damiani, The Playground Borneo and Club21, we are glad to have been able to toast to our Generation T young movers and shapers of our country with a blowout bash that we are proud to observe flooding a big part of social media that night.

Lights, camera, action!
Setting the mood upon arrival was a photowall, but unlike your typical stand, smile, snap affair, you could “write” with light whatever you wanted and have it appear in the photos to commemorate your night with.
A little something sweet
A little something sweet and a little something strong warmed up the palates in the form of the chocolate and cognac pairing made possible by our good friends at Moet Hennessy Diageo.
Floaties for hire
What’s a pool party without floaties? We had a good few number of unicorn, flamingo and swan floatie friends from The Playground Borneo joining in on the fun, bobbing around in the immensely inviting pool.
Spin the magic
Card tricks, disappearing hearts, metal-bending, flowers that went up in flames for the fair lady – two walkabout magicians were on standby to blow the minds of any unsuspecting guest.
Surprise sliders
Party fuel was adorable sliders of all shapes, shades and sizes provided by The St Regis. Except surprise, surprise, they’re not what they seemed: guessing what’s inside each – is it beef, chicken, lamb or mushroom? – was a game all by itself.
Put your hands (and hair) up
When the party started really heating up, Shiseido Professional came to the rescue with a hair-braiding booth to help coif our hair into stylish do's so we got to enjoy the rest of the night looking immensely chic.
Pretty up
Also on deck was a stylish stand of all things shiny and pretty by Clé de Peau Beauté. Another surprise: it doubled as an interactive booth where you could pick and choose your doorgift at the end of the night so not everyone ended up with the same one.
Paint your ideas
Staying true to our Generation T spirit of unleashing creativity and making our own marks, artist Philip Wong came on stage with a one-of-a-kind art performance where he was both the artist and the canvas.
Dazzling dreams
Adding to the dazzle were Damiani and Corum who took to the stage with a fashion show showcasing their respective latest jewellery and watch collections. The models got special treatment with makeup by Clé de Peau Beauté and hair by Shiseido Professional.
Light it up
The celebration of bright young talents was far from over – LED dancers swooped in after in all shades of neon, adding splashes of pink, green, yellow and blue to the atmosphere.
Ending it with a bang
The peak of the spectacle was a special show of fireworks, lighting up the entire night sky of Kuala Lumpur Sentral, as bright, fiery and hot as the personalities we had gracing our Generation T party.
