Hong Kong entrepreneurs Alvin Kwock and William Yeung both use technology to make insurance more accessible and affordable. We quizzed the founders in the Social Impact Quickfire to learn more about their purpose and impact

What drives some of Asia’s most dynamic social entrepreneurs? How do they measure success? And how do they build purpose into the DNA of their companies?

We had so many burning questions for the winners of this year’s Gen.T x Credit Suisse Social Impact Awards that we couldn’t choose between them. So we decided to ask them all—really, really fast.

Produced in partnership with Credit Suisse, the Social Impact Awards recognise Gen.T honourees who are using technology to create social impact at scale.

For the Social Impact Quickfire, we partnered a 2021 awardee with a previous winner in the same industry, shooting off dozens of rapid-fire questions about their company, their why and the impact they make.

William Yeung, a 2021 Social Impact Awards winner, is co-founder and CEO of MediConCen, which uses blockchain technology to connect doctors with insurance companies and allow patients to make claims efficiently. We paired William with Alvin Kwock, a 2020 winner and co-founder and CEO of OneDegree, a leading virtual insurer with products in pet, health and property insurance.
