A month after Singapore issued the world's first regulatory approval for cultured or "lab-grown" chicken, to US-based food tech company Eat Just, Gen.T honourees were invited to taste the slaughter-free meat in an immersive dining experience at one of the city's private members club, 1880.
Held over two days in late January, the exclusive dinners, designed by award-winning digital agency Awethentic Studio, featured a four-course dinner that reflected the evolution of our appetite for chicken over time. The chicken, which is part of Just Eat's Good Meat brand, was prepared in two styles by former chef and Eat Just product development specialist Zachary Tyndall: a Western-inspired style with maple waffle and hot sauce and an Eastern-inspired style in a steamed bun with spring onion and pickled cucumber.
Eat Just co-founder and CEO Josh Tetrick also joined the dinner via video call to welcome guests and answer their questions.
