On September 15, Gen.T hosted an intimate networking event in Hong Kong for entrepreneurs in e-commerce.

In the room were leaders of some of Hong Kong’s most exciting and dynamic e-commerce startups. Whether the industry was sustainable fashion or the metaverse, all attendees were working to build trailblazing B2C companies across borders.

Which is why we brought everyone together for a networking event and panel discussion, in partnership with PayPal, on the topic How to Grow Globally, discussing the playbook for navigating business expansion across borders and entering new markets.

The panel, moderated by Gen.T’s Lee Williamson, featured two experts in the field. Anthony Tsang, head of marketing and digital at luxury retailer Oriental Watch Company, discussed how to help audiences make that crucial journey from awareness to acquisition. He was joined by Jack Fu—head of enterprise account management for Hong Kong, South Korea and Taiwan at PayPal—who shared creative solutions to improve the customer experience, convert sales and build customer loyalty.

After the panel, the Gen.T honourees got together to connect, learn from one another and let their hair down in Tatler House. Honourees in attendance included Fred Ngan, co-founder and co-CEO of insurtech startup Bowtie; Timothy Yu, founder and CEO of edtech company Snapask; Sarah Garner, founder of sustainable fashion firm Retykle; and Andy Chan, co-founder and president of fintech company Qupital.
