See what happened when we unveiled the 30 Taiwan honourees on the Gen.T List 2021 at the Leaders of Tomorrow list launch event at W Taipei

On September 16, we hosted the Leaders of Tomorrow event in Taipei, where we revealed the 30 honourees from Taiwan on the Gen.T List 2021 at an exclusive event at the W Taipei.

The 30 Leaders of Tomorrow connected with the other members of their cohort over dinner, and also met members of the Tribe, the panel of industry experts who help us vet the list.

Gen.T honourees at the dinner included Harris Cheng, co-founder and CEO of Greenvines; Wilson Huang, founder and CEO of Steaker; filmmaker Cheng Weihao; and Draft Land founder Angus Zou

The were joined by existing members of the Gen.T community, including Elisa Chiu, founder and CEO of Anchor Taiwan; Max Ma, founder of Give543; and Jack Hsu, founder of Self Token

During dinner, Yu Lee, editor-in-chief of Tatler Taiwan, hosted a fireside chat with Steve Chen, Tribe member and co-founder of YouTube. During the talk, Chen discussed tech trends, the future of AI, and how he defines success.

Also in the programme, Gen.T presented awards to the 2021 winners of the Gen.T x Credit Suisse Social Impact Awards, which recognise honourees on the Gen.T List using technology for positive social impact at scale. Among this year’s winners, two were from Taiwan. Edison Feng, founder and CEO of Sunnyfounder and Aining Ouyang, COO of Renato Lab, collected their awards on stage.

Later in the evening, guests enjoyed a performance from Taiwanese Golden Melody-nominated singer-songwriter Shi Shi Sun.
