Rachel Lim, the co-founder of e-commerce platform Love, Bonito, shares her insights on the BMW iX, which marks a new chapter for BMW
What does the future of e-mobility look like? BMW is offering its vision with the BMW iX. This all-electric Sports Activity Vehicle (SAV) is the technology flagship of the marque’s entire line-up and presents a compelling package that combines trailblazing design, sporting agility, and luxurious comfort. What’s more, the BMW iX has zero local emissions and an enviable operating range with convenient charging options to boot. It is now available in Singapore with the BMW iX xDrive40.
For Rachel Lim, the founder of Love, Bonito, the BMW iX is an easy choice on several levels. The car offers a powerful yet quiet drive with its fifth-generation eDrive system, which makes every trip a comfortable, almost meditative one—undoubtedly a welcome feature for this business owner with much on her mind at any one time.

A full suite of driver assistance features further enhances the experience behind the wheel; expect an upgraded BMW Intelligent Personal Assistant, remote software updates, additional functions that can be bought separately and delivered over the air, and more.
At the same time, the BMW iX’s focus on sustainability echoes Love, Bonito’s transition towards more environmentally-friendly business practices as well. This doesn’t just take the form of zero local emissions thanks to the car’s all-electric drive though. Because of its exclusive use of renewable energy during production, the BMW iX will emit 45 percent fewer greenhouse gases compared to its combustion-engined equivalent over its entire life cycle.
Natural and recycled materials also feature prominently in the car. The floor mats, for instance, are made from Econyl, a type of recycled nylon.
