We've launched a new community-driven initiative, Gen.T Connect—a platform for young leaders to meet and drive change on issues impacting Asia
For the past few months, we have been building the foundations for a new project. We couldn't be more excited to begin rolling it out.
Gen.T Connect is a platform to enable discussions about issues and ideas shaping the future of Asia.
Instead of being driven by Gen.T editors, the platform is led by Gen.T Leaders of Tomorrow from across the region who have been invited to take the reins as ambassadors of Gen.T Connect.
In the coming months, our ambassadors will plan and host discussion groups and small-scale meet-ups in their cities, either physically or virtually. The aim is to bring together other young leaders and individuals who are hungry to learn, share and connect—to converse about topics ranging from racial and gender equality to sustainability and climate change.
The idea is to foster greater curiosity, awareness, understanding and respect for different issues, communities and cultures across Asia and the world. The ambition is that these conversations will lead to positive actions and change.
READY FOR LAUNCH
Gen.T Connect launches today in Hong Kong, Singapore and China, specifically Shanghai and Beijing.
Our very first ambassadors include Natalie Chan of Hong Kong-based alternative education centre Own Academy, Jill Tang of Ladies Who Tech in Shanghai, Claire Du of TechRock Global and Vivian Lim of Singapore-based community platform Women in Asia.
The initiative will also be rolled out in Malaysia, Indonesia, Thailand, Taiwan and the Philippines between the second half of this year and early 2022. So watch this space.
