With GoGet, repetitive tasks get outsourced and part-time workers get employed

In the What Matters To Me series, a Generation T honouree describes what they do, why they do it, and why it matters.

Francesca Chia wants to take all those annoying tasks off your hands. Her company GoGet allows businesses and individuals in the Kuala Lumpur region to hire short term help for tasks from deliveries to data entry to flyer distribution to packing, while at the same time offering flexible employment to workers.

Our vision is about impacting society broadly, making the workforce more inclusive and helping those who could not get opportunities before—for example, stay-at-home mothers don’t want a full-time gig in an office, but wouldn’t mind a one- or two-hour task. Our goal is to create a new way of defining work, and to connect the city to become a more efficient place. Business owners and their operations can now leverage reliable part-timers around the city to work, and those who are looking for flexible work arrangements can now rely on a trusted solution.

To manage stress, do some yoga, because it aids not just the body but also the mind; have a great support system, whether it is friends or family; and list out what you can do and what you can’t do, so that you don’t stress over things that are not within your control. Life can turn around 180 degrees at any time, so appreciate what you have and don’t take things for granted.
