CoolBitX founder Michael Ou shares more about the benefits that can be expected from being part of his members-only Firstclass NFT Pass project

Taiwanese blockchain security provider CoolBitX and multinational Web3 collective Firstclass Labs have jointly launched a new website to promote Firstclass NFT Pass, a digital membership club that grants unique VIP benefits to its 1,000 members.

Gen.T honouree Michael Ou, who founded CoolBitX and is a core team member of Firstclass Labs, explains that the website will provide information to people curious about the world of NFTs and those interested in participating in the project.

“We hope to generate some interest in the market for the project and target to have 10,000 followers on our Twitter account,” says Ou. Though membership to Firstclass NFT Pass is by invitation only, Ou does not rule out the possibility of granting followers the chance to join the project in the future.

He adds that the project aims to build an exclusive community that connects industry leaders across diverse fields, from traditional and decentralised finance to art.

According to him, there is a lot of potential in the market as the transaction value of art worldwide in 2021 amounted to US$65 billion, while the total crypto market capitalisation in 2022 is US$1 trillion.

The team behind the Firstclass NFT Pass, made up of Web3 industry thought leaders and professional investors, took eight months to develop and launch the project. “Throughout the period, we had multiple strategy discussions before finalising the concept and product in detail. We had never lost sight of the big picture and it remains the same as our initial vision,” Ou explains.

One of the biggest challenges they faced was connecting people from different cultures and backgrounds, and bringing them together into a new community. They overcame this by building their core team with cultural diversity in mind as they expanded their network through trusted referrals.

There was also a barrier to entry as many crypto newcomers needed to learn how to use a cryptocurrency wallet correctly. Firstclass NFT Pass claims that it would simplify things for pass holders, allowing them to manage their assets easily and securely.

Other benefits of being part of Firstclass NFT Pass include having access to a limited-edition, co-branded CoolWallet Pro, which is a credit card-sized Bluetooth hardware wallet that supports various tokens including Bitcoin, Ethereum and Litecoin.

In the next 12 months, Ou says the first goal after this launch is to complete onboarding all Firstclass NFT Pass holders and launch another NFT collection themed around the renaissance of technology.
