The Singapore company, co-founded by Gen.T honouree Dean Ho, will use the money to establish a commercial lab and fund more clinical trials

Biotech startup Kyan Therapeutics, co-founded by Dean Ho, has successfully raised US$5 million in pre-Series A funding from lead investor Altara Ventures. Seeds Capital and K3 Ventures also participated in the round.

Based in Singapore, Kyan Therapeutics is a clinical-stage artificial intelligence company that leverages its technology platforms to identify the best therapies for drug development and personalised medicine.

The firm secured the funds after its positive findings from its clinical study on treating lymphoma, a form of cancer that starts in the lymph system.

According to the firm, the fresh funds will be used by Kyan Therapeutics to establish a commercial lab, expand its team and fund additional clinical trials.
