The first Gen.T Stream, which will take place on May 15, 2020, will be themed “Reimagining our shared future: Taking control of the next chapter”. An international relations expert with his finger on the pulse of the future, Khanna is founder and managing partner of FutureMap, a data- and scenario-based strategic advisory firm. An influential international relations expert, he has worked for organisations such as the World Economic Forum, the Council on Foreign Relations and the Brookings Institution, and has also served as a senior geopolitical advisor to the US government. Khanna, a best-selling author, just released his sixth book, The Future is Asian: Commerce, Conflict & Culture in the 21st Century.

Matthew Brimer

Matthew Brimer
Co-Founder, General Assembly, Daybreaker & The Fund

From education to entertainment, Matthew Brimer is a serial entrepreneur cultivating an ecosystem of startups. Brimer is the co-founder of new businesses including entrepreneur education organisation General Assembly, which recently added its philanthropic arm Opportunity Fund; early morning dance party organiser Daybreaker; and The Fund, an early-stage venture fund that aims to nurture the next generation of startups.

Maria Ressa

Maria Ressa
Journalist & Co-Founder of Rappler

Journalist and entrepreneur Maria Ressa is one of the Asia’s most well-known media figures. Ressa focused on investigating terrorism in Southeast Asia for much of her 35-year career, opening CNN’s Manila and Jakarta bureaus, before founding media news website Rappler in 2012. Ressa won Time Magazine’s 2018 Person of the Year for her work tackling fake news. Her life and work is the subject of 2020 Sundance Film Festival documentary, A Thousand Cuts.

Singer, Songwriter, Entrepreneur & Record Producer

Shila Amzah is a Malaysian award-winning singer-songwriter, composer, musician, dancer, actress, businesswoman and record producer. With over 2.3 million Weibo followers, Shila is the first and only Malay artist to have success in Chinese-speaking countries and Chinese record charts, she is best known for winning the Chinese talent contest called Asian Wave and is the first Malaysian artist to be nominated at the World Music Awards.
