Jack Ma, through his fin-tech company, Ant Financial launches partnership with GCash

Just hours after receiving his honorary degree of Doctor of Science in Technopreneurship from De La Salle University, Chinese tycoon and Alibaba founder, Jack Ma, made his way to the relaunch of GCash at Glorietta 4. It signified the strong ties built on the partnership of his internet financial services company, Ant Financial with Globe’s GCash initiative.

“Imagine a day when you can shop and buy cinema tickets, bus and train tickets with a simple scan of your personal GCash QR code in your smar phone. The convenient daily life of 520 million Alipay users are enjoying will soon be realized in the Philippines. In the past months, Ant Financial has worked closely with GCash product of Mynt, as we are dedicated to bringing digital financial services to our friends in the Philippines,” said Eric Jing, CEO of Ant Financial.

This new system is now available in Glorietta and will soon roll out across the various Ayala Malls.
