The Dorchester Collection's elegant entry to the Middle East
The Lana, part of the Dorchester Collection and the brand’s first hotel in the Middle East, opened in 2024 in Dubai’s Business Bay district. The brand tapped some serious talent to stretches over 30 floors in a sculptural skyscraper designed by Forster and Partners, offering 225 rooms and suites designed by the Parisian design duo Gilles & Boissier, Many rooms feature floor-to-ceiling windows and outdoor terraces with views of Downtown Dubai’s skyline and the marina.
The interiors lean towards subtle elegance, avoiding the typical Dubai flashiness for a quiet luxury feel, with muted hues and bespoke service. A standout detail is the marble ensuite bathrooms with large bathtubs positioned against expansive windows, perfect for unwinding while watching the cityscape.
Dining is a highlight here, with eight restaurants and bars including FrenchRivera by Jean Imbert, of Hôtel Plaza Athénée fame, and Bonbon Café by pastry chef Angelo Musa which serves outstanding pastries and specialty coffee. The rooftop High Society bar boasts an infinity pool and sweeping views across the desert and city, making it a favoured spot for sunset drinks.
The Lana occupies a 30-story tower designed by Foster and Partners with a distinctive, elegant silhouette. It comprises 225 rooms and suites, with interiors by the Parisian design duo Gilles & Boissier that showcase modern sophistication through clean lines, natural light, and a muted color scheme.
Though Business Bay is quieter than Dubai’s more famous districts, the hotel is only a short drive from landmarks like Dubai Mall and Burj Khalifa, making it a practical base for exploring the city’s mix of urban energy and luxury experiences.
