An exquisite 13-suite property that still belongs to the royal family
This exquisite boutique hotel is set within a historic palace originally built in 1729 and long serving as the private residence of the Maharaja of Jaipur. This 13-room retreat blends traditional Rajputana grandeur—evident in its high archways and shimmering chandeliers—with an eccentric, contemporary style often described as Wes Anderson-esque. Designer Adil Ahmad reinvented the interiors with a kaleidoscopic palette of dazzling pinks, rich turquoises and bold geometric patterns, using custom, hand-blocked wallpaper throughout the suites and public spaces.
The spacious suites are named after prestigious former guests, such as Queen Elizabeth II and Jackie Kennedy. Guests dine in style at one of three restaurants: The Colonnade offers all-day upscale comfort food, while 51 Shades of Pink provides a glamorous, formal setting for Jaipur cuisine. The hotel has an Art Deco swimming pool set within seven acres of manicured gardens, and a Polo Lounge adorned with royal family memorabilia. The property still belongs to the royal family, so consider yourself a guest of honour - because you are.
To fully lean into the regal atmosphere, book an afternoon tea served in the serene gardens under a colorful Rajasthani umbrella, a signature palace tradition. If you're keen on history, ask for a guided palace walk, where staff often provide anecdotes and insights about the royal family and past dignitaries
