A whisper of luxury in the quiet seaside village of Pekutatan
An early morning surf on the island’s longest break on black-sand Medewi Beach; a lazy afternoon on teak sun loungers topped with sage cushions that complement the every-shade-of-green surrounding tropical jungle, and evening bonfires to the soundtrack of nocturnal wildlife—Lost Lindenberg offers a whisper of luxury in the quiet seaside village of Pekutatan on Bali’s west coast. Comprising a series of treehouse-like structures connected by floating jungle walkways, the hotel has just eight suites; our favourite has to be the Ocean Panorama Suite that soars among the coconut trees at 12 metres above ground, for impressive views and the sound of waves to lull you to sleep. The in-house cuisine is a plant-based take on Balinese home cooking, with all ingredients either homegrown or supplied by nearby organic farms.
Tatler Tip
Lost Lindenberg encourages interaction— its restaurant has one long communal table, and hosts activities like evening bonfires on the beach. Making it perfect for solo travellers.
