台灣第一超模林志玲美貌與善念兼具。

Taiwan’s most recognizable face, supermodel Chi Ling Lin, is an enduring talent and beauty

As a renowned model in Taiwan, Chi-Ling Lin not only possesses beauty but also believes that a successful artist needs to enrich themselves with knowledge and cultivate inner qualities. She is dedicated to giving back to society through various means such as donations, charity sales, volunteering and endorsements, supporting early intervention medical care for developmentally delayed children, promoting education for children in remote areas, addressing women's health issues, fostering indigenous music and dance culture, and aiding in the physical and psychological healing of disaster-affected individuals.

Since 2005, Lin has been the public face of the Six Minutes to Protect a Lifetime women’s health campaign, advocating for cancer prevention work and donating mobile screening vehicles across Taiwan. In 2006, she was appointed as the ambassador for AIDS orphans under the HOPE Project by World Vision. Lin visited families caring for AIDS orphans in Eswatini, Africa, and raised funds for the project. She later published books and charity calendars, donating all royalties and proceeds to those in need.

In 2011, Lin officially established the Chiling Sister Charity Foundation. The foundation’s mission is to provide care and support, just like an elder sister, to people of all ages and backgrounds. In 2023, Lin continued the Warm New Year’s Dish event for the 13th consecutive year, providing care for elderly individuals and vulnerable families living alone. She also carried on the Golden Little Seed project for the 12th year, benefiting nearly 10,000 developmentally delayed children. The Dream Angel project, supporting thousands of underprivileged children, and the First Bra for Girls project, donating over 30,000 sets of bras and panties for young girls, have both been running for 12 consecutive years. Lin has released charity calendars for 14 consecutive years, with the proceeds going to help those in need.

In response to the mental health challenges faced by many children and parents during the pandemic, Lin established Chiling Sister’s Parent-Child Assistance Cabin in severely affected areas in mainland China. Professional psychological counselors provide guidance and record emotional management courses, offering counseling to youth and families in need and easing communication barriers within families. In Taiwan, Lin donated six positive-pressure quarantine booths, tens of thousands of waterproof isolation suits, N95 medical masks and drinking water resources to various hospitals on the frontline.

For 2024, the Chiling Sister Charity Foundation plans to focus on the educational promotion of Children’s Mental Health Courses. By collaborating with professional psychologists and educational scholars and connecting various learning and therapeutic resources, the foundation aims to assist parents and schools in bringing about positive impact on the growth of children. The goal is to empower children to understand their own minds and emotions from an early age by creating a team of guardians consisting of experts from various fields.

Lin hopes to be a guardian of children’s mental health, and through her voice, images or writing, she aspires to bring more warmth and stability to everyone.

Did You Know?

In 2011, Chi-Ling Lin directed the Six Minutes to Protect a Lifetime public service video for cervical cancer prevention, titled It’s Not Too Late to Say I Love You. The video aimed to convey the touching stories of patients to those in need of courage. One patient, a 32-year-old with advanced cervical cancer, always faced everything with a strong smile. She told Lin, “You must quickly establish your foundation, and I want to be your volunteer.” Shortly afterward, she passed away. The encouragement from this patient greatly inspired Lin, and she decided to establish the foundation. The patient’s words resonated: “When you leave this world, let everyone remember who you are. Start now, and one day everyone will know.”
