For his masterful portrayal of Filipino narratives

Zig Dulay has been directing TV shows for a decade, but his career really took off in 2023 when he directed the critically acclaimed series Maria Clara at Ibarra. The show won over 70 awards locally and internationally, and spent close to two months as the most viewed series on Netflix Philippines. His fantasy film, Firefly, also won Best Picture at the Metro Manila Film Festival.
