When she was nine years old, Zhu Jiejing was selected from a group of 3,000 applicants to attend Shanghai Dance School, and forged through her training alone in the city. She is currently the leading dancer at the Shanghai Dance Theatre, and is known for her roles in productions such as Farewell My Concubine, Yong Bu Xiaoshi De Dianbo and Soaring Wings. She is also vice chairman of the Shanghai Dancers’ Association.
