For Cheng-Hai Hung, innovation and transformation is the fabric of business

Cheng-Hai Hung is the chairman of the board of Eclat Textile Co. Ltd. since 1985. He established the company in 1977, which developed the first stretch knitted fabric in Taiwan. This made Eclat the king of textile stocks, with its share price once breaking the NTD500 mark.  

Hung is also chairman of the board in nine other companies, including Eclat Enterprise, Miaw Shun, E-Top Enterprises, Eclat Textile and Eclat Fabrics Vietnam, and BEST Information Technology Co., Ltd. In 2015, he became an academician of the Industrial Technology Research Institute, responsible for transforming Taiwan’s labor-intensive businesses to innovation-driven enterprises. It caters to brands such as Nike, Lululemon, Costco, Athelta, Decathlon, and The North Face.
