Zhang Xuewei

Chef Xuewei is the only non-Japanese disciple to train in Japan with Tetsuya Saotome, the so-called God of Tempura. After 12 years under his tutelage, he returned to open his own Beijing restaurant, Xue Wei Tempura, in 2015, and it quickly became one of the most popular and renowned tempura restaurants in the country. He has also been a guest lecturer at the University of the Chinese Academy of Sciences.
