The Yuimom Group chairman dabbles in construction, culinary, and art with quality and sustainability in mind

In any world-class city, there must be a hotels, apartments, museums, and Michelin starred restaurants—and Yong-Tian Shao, chairman of Yuimom Group, brought them all to Kaohsiung.

Founded in 1997, Yuimom Group has become a force to be reckoned with in various industries. Under its wing are Yuimom Construction, Huang Pin Engineering, Silks Club, and ALIEN Art, as well as overseas partnerships in the culinary sphere.

It has partnered with Tokyo-based restaurant group Ukai for its first-ever overseas venture, Ukai-tei Kaohsiung, since its founding half a century ago. In 2007, Yuimom Construction built Kaohsiung’s first luxury residence, the Royal Garden, and bagged various awards for its design.

The group also launched Silks Club in 2017 and rebuilt the Alien Art Center in 2018, both highly regarded projects under Yuimom Group. Shao leads Yuimom Group as chairman of the board.

In 2022, the company opened Yuimom Residence luxury service apartments along Jiuru Road in Kaohsiung, opposite the National Science and Technology Museum. Promising a blissful lifestyle, the complex offers dining choices and hotel-like facilities.
