Artist, educator, and author Yong Liu paints a picture of Asian excellence

Yong Liu is an internationally known educator, painter, author, and philanthropist. He has devoted his life to supporting underprivileged students, building 40 branches of Hope Primary Schools across China. He is a best-selling author with over 100 novels and essays, which have been translated into English, Korean, Vietnamese, Thai, and other languages. His works are included in textbooks of primary and secondary schools in China and Taiwan.

Liu is also known for his art, which is inspired by old Chinese masters and his own expression of pointillism. He has held over 30 solo exhibitions at Sun Yat-sen Memorial Hall, National Taiwan Museum, Beijing Academy of Fine Arts, Zhejiang Art Museum, Liaoning Provincial Museum, and art galleries throughout the United States. He is one of the few living Chinese painters to be included in Sotheby’s and Christie’s auctions in Hong Kong, Beijing, and New York. People’s Fine Arts Publishing House, which immortalizes excellent Chinese works, included Yong Liu in its prestigious Chinese Contemporary Famous Artists series.
