YK Pang has been the deputy managing director of Jardine Matheson Holdings since 2016, and the chairman of the conglomerate’s Hong Kong operations since 2019, having joined its board in 2011. He is also a director of associated companies including Hongkong Land and Mandarin Oriental.


Pang joined the Jardine Matheson Group in Hong Kong as a management trainee in 1984, and subsequently worked in a wide range of roles. He was chief executive of Pizza Hut in Hong Kong and South China from 1991 to 1995, director of Jardine Pacific with responsibility for its restaurant businesses from 1995, chief executive officer of Mercedes retailer Zung Fu from 1999 and its executive chairman from 2003, and chief executive of Hongkong Land from 2007.


Among his many public positions, he is the chairman of the Hong Kong Tourism Board and the Hong Kong Management Association, vice patron of the Community Chest of Hong Kong, chairman of the Standing Commission on Civil Service Salaries and Conditions of Service and a former chairman of the Hong Kong General Chamber of Commerce and the Employers’ Federation of Hong Kong.


The holder of Gold and Silver Bauhinia Stars and a Justice of the Peace, and an Honorary Doctor of Edinburgh University and Education University of Hong Kong, he is married with two children.
