Yi-Chun Chang

Founder, Taiwan Natural Kind Inspiration Garden

Yi-Chun Chang was the first Taiwanese to join Cirque Du Soleil as a dance soloist for the principal role of Yao in the classic production Dralion. After leaving Cirque Du Soleil in 2012, Yi-Chun returned to Taiwan and founded Natural Kind Inspiration Garden, which organises performances aimed at raising public awareness of the human destruction of nature and reflects on the beauty of Taiwan. In 2014, Yi-Chun performed in Crystal Boys, the annual flagship work co-produced by Hsien-Yung Pai and National Theater, and his role as Ah Feng won high praise from Taiwanese writer Hsien-Yung Pai. In 2015, he joined hands with Chai Found Music Workshop on a remake of the classic show Ambushment From All Directions, which brought together musical instruments, fire-dancing and stage effects to create the first 360 degree stage show in China. In 2018, he appeared in How ART You, a new programme from DaAi TV, in the capacity of a host for the first time. Yi-Chun hopes that his performances, which are full of love for his hometown, can introduce Taiwan to the rest of the world.
