Appier founder Winnie Lee leads the AI race in the Asia Pacific

Winnie Lee is the chief operating officer and co-founder of Appier, also serving as a representative director of Appier Group, Inc. Prior to joining Appier, she had 10 years of experience in immunology research, holding a Master's degree in Biological Sciences from Stanford University and a PhD in Immunology from the University of Washington. Under her leadership, Appier has grown from a five-person team to a company with employees across Asia and Europe.

Lee has played a crucial role in driving Appier's operations and successfully implementing various business strategies. Appier went public on the Tokyo Stock Exchange in March 2021, marking a significant milestone and becoming one of the few Taiwanese companies listed in Japan. This achievement positioned Appier as a rare and successful case of a Taiwanese startup expanding internationally.

In 2020, Lee was nominated by the international business news media Business Insider as one of the Top 100 leaders driving business transformation in Asia. She was also recognised by Forbes as one of the 2021 Asia Power Business Women and was the only female entrepreneur from Taiwan on the list. In 2022, she received the Asia IT Women Awards as the Outstanding Woman of the Year.

In 2023, Appier continued its revenue growth and expanded its presence in Japan, assisting companies like Hotel Monterey in decision-making processes. The company received recognition as the Best Outstanding Enterprise in the Japanese software and services industry by Asiamoney in the same year.
