A former baker working in multiple countries in his early days, William Wongso has a mission to be an Indonesian gastronomy diplomat. For his extensive knowledge, he is an advisor for all things traditional and authentic food for the Presidential Secretariat Office, Garuda Indonesia, and even the globally known chef Gordon Ramsay. William also helps various culinary businesses to step up their game besides opening his venture. He opened an Indonesian restaurant in Geneva called Sendok Garpu and has a ready-to-eat packaged food business, Pawon Om Will. With a global career spanning decades, William has served as president of Chaine des Rotisseurs Indonesia in 1986 to 1993 and president of International Wine and Food Society in 1991 to 1994. The French government awarded him Chevalier Dans L'ordre National Du Mérite Agricole in 2001. This year, he was awarded Legacy Makers by Indonesian freshener drink brand Cap Badak for his dedication, consistency, and contribution to elevating Indonesia's cultural heritage.
