Wen Muye

Muye’s 2018 debut feature film, Dying To Survive, established him firmly in the big league of Mainland Chinese directors. Based on a true story of a man who smuggled inexpensive cancer medication from India to China, the critical smash has taken more than US$440m at the box office, and he is vying with the likes of Zhang Yimou and Jia Zhangke for Director of the Year at the 10th China Film Director’s Guild Awards.
