Watanya Amatanon comes from a background in tech, having worked for Microsoft as a user experience designer for four years before coming back to Thailand to create Tao Bin, a line of smart beverage vending machines produced for her family's Forth Corporation. Tao Bin promises to combine “modern technology, cloud computing and robotics...[to transform] the entire coffee and beverage experience” through the fully automated beverage kiosks that allow users to customise a wide range of smoothies and coffee, tea and soda drinks. By the end of 2023, the company website listed almost 6,000 Tao Bin machines throughout Thailand. Tao Bin machines have also been set up in locations in Malaysia, with Singapore and the United States said to be next in line.
