Wang Xide won widespread acclaim for his first feature film, A Chat, a subtle, poetic meditation on grief among three generations of women in small town Southern China, including Best Feature Film at the Chongqing Youth Film Festival. After he won the Best Commercial Potential Award at the 2018 Chinese Young Generation Film Forum, his work has shown at festivals including First International Film Festival and Beijing International Film Festival.
