Karla Wang graduated from the History department at Brown University and from the Wine and Management programme at Le Cordon Bleu. She is a guest taster for France’s leading wine guide Bettane and Desseauve and has a column in the Chinese edition of the Financial Times. Committed to building wine know-how, in 2014 she founded Lady Penguin, China’s most influential platform providing wine knowledge. With a combination of social media communication experience and years in the wine industry, Karla has become a prominent opinion leader in the industry, providing the public with interesting wine-related knowledge, and helping wine lovers through the sometimes-painful process of learning about and selecting wines. In 2017, Karla issued publications and launched offline courses to build a more complete wine service.
