After excelling in school but finding the step up to university challenging because of his severe visual impairment, Walter Tsui set out to make the path to education and employment easier for other people with disabilities. His organisation CareER Association provides recruitment opportunities and a sense of community for higher-educated people with physical, mental and developmental disorders, including a three-year leadership training programme, and scholarships for students who excel in community activities.
