Chief curator, Tova Foundation
The art expert reshaping Central Asia’s contemporary art landscape
Vladislav Sludsky has spent years connecting Central Asian art to the wider international art world. As chief curator of Tova Foundation, his work focuses on building the region’s cultural infrastructure and increasing the international visibility of its artists. Earlier in his career, he worked in Singapore and New York, curating exhibitions that included work by Ai Weiwei, Yayoi Kusama, Andy Warhol and Xu Bing. In 2010, he co-founded Artbat Fest, the first major international contemporary art festival in Central Asia, which ran for more than a decade.
