Fashion designer, Vivienne Tam
Vivienne Tam is an international designer known for her culture-bridging, east-meets-west approach to design as well as global collaborations marrying fashion with technology with renowned brands such as HP, Lenovo/Moto, Tencent, Google and Starbucks.
Tam authored the award-winning book China Chic and pieces from her collections are housed in the permanent archives of museums including the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York, the Victoria and Albert Museum in London and Andy Warhol Museum in Pittsburgh.
In 2015, Tam had three gowns highlighted in the Metropolitan Museum exhibition China: Through the Looking Glass. The entire process of staging the exhibit was featured in director Andrew Rossi’s documentary, The First Monday in May.
In 2017, Tam was presented with the China Fashion Award – International Designer of the Year at Mercedes-Benz China Fashion Week in recognition of her contributions and achievements in promoting Chinese culture around the world.
This year, Tam returned to New York Fashion Week for spring-summer 2023 and bridged the reality of the fashion world with the virtual possibilities of the Metaverse, featuring NFTs from BAYC, CryptoPunks, CyberKongz and Awkward Astronauts.
Tam’s evening gowns have been worn by high-profile women including Gong Li, Lady Gaga, Jessica Alba, Paris Hilton and Jill Biden.
